Patients with connective tissue dysplasia may have manifestations of early skin aging, accompanied by increased skin elasticity, telangiectasias, the presence of areas with loose thin skin, and other signs. Due to involutional changes in the skin, patients with connective tissue dysplasia primarily experience loss of volume in the mid face and decreased skin tone.
The advantage of using the collagen-based product COLLOST® in patients with connective tissue dysplasia in the periorbital region is strengthening of the skin, increasing turgor and tone, and improving microcirculation. The effectiveness of the product COLLOST® gel 15 % is confirmed by clinical and instrumental histological studies.
To infuse the product with optimal rheological properties, immediately before administration, it is necessary to heat the product in a thermostat for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 38 °C or in a thermos with a water temperature sensor (up to 50 °C) in a glove for 15-20 minutes.
If necessary, additional heating of the product during the procedure is possible.
In this work, we used collagen COLLOST® gel 15 %, obtained using patented technology (patent No. 2353397), which can serve as a matrix for targeted tissue regeneration and consists of fibrous intertwined particles and a 10 % glucose solution.
Patient A., 34 years old. Complaints of a “sad” look, worsening of the nasolabial fold, decreased skin turgor, especially around the eyes. In the history there are two cases of
collagen therapy procedures with the product COLLOST® micro (hydration in 5 ml – 3 % concentration), care procedures, a biorevitalization procedure was performed 2 weeks ago, HIFU therapy — a year ago.
On examination: pale pink skin with traces of tan, moderate excess skin of the upper eyelid, decreased tone and deepening of the mid-cheek furrows, nasolabial fold, and marionette wrinkles. Palpation confirmed a decrease in skin tone, a positive test for the elasticity of the skin of the lower eyelid (straightening of the fold with a delay of 2-3 seconds), increased skin extensibility (pulling the fold 2 cm above the lateral edge of the clavicle).
Diagnosis: connective tissue dysplasia with cutaneous and vascular manifestations (Fig. 1A–B).

To restore skin tone and turgor, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and stimulate synthesis of natural collagen, the product COLLOST® gel 15% was chosen.
Injection of the product into the periorbital area up to the ciliary edge of the upper and lower eyelids, intradermally, without “sinking” of the needle, papule diameter 1.0–1.5 mm, needle 31G x 4 mm. Dense packing, consumption for the periorbital zone — 0.5 ml, for the periorbital zone and the area where “crow’s feet” are formed — 1.0 ml.
To speed up the rehabilitation process after the injection procedure, we apply the COLLOST® spray.
Course of procedures No. 3–5 — once a month and then maintenance procedures once every 3–4 months.
After the procedure, swelling, hyperemia and visualization of papules may persist for up to 1–2 days, provided that the skin is prepared for collagen therapy. If the skin is dehydrated, papules may persist for up to 10–14 days.
The technique of the product administration and the results are presented in Figs. 2–5.
If the patient has dehydrated dermis, before the collagen therapy procedure, it is recommended to perform one of the following procedures once: biorevitalization with hyaluronic acid preparations, capillary mesotherapy, plasma therapy, injections of PDRN, DMAE, peptides, vitamins and microelements

The preserved natural three-dimensional structure of COLLOST® collagen preparations creates the opportunity for fibroblast migration.
The effect of collagen therapy is dose-dependent, the product COLLOST® gel 15 % works effectively in the periorbital zone, has the highest concentration of collagen compared to all other collagen injection products available on the Russian beauty industry market.
The product is completely biodegradable and promotes the formation of autologous connective tissue, restores skin turgor and tone.
