How Stretch Marks Appear on the Buttocks and How to Get Rid of Them

Stretch marks, or striae, are characteristic fine scars that can appear on various areas of the skin. One of the primary locations for stretch marks is the buttocks. A deficiency of collagen protein, which gives skin its elasticity, leads to skin thinning in areas of severe stretching, resulting in epidermal tears. The body, attempting to restore the skin at the sites of microtrauma, replaces healthy tissue with scar tissue. As a result, stretch marks appear, particularly on the buttocks. Women are typically susceptible to the formation of such striae. However, stretch marks on the buttocks can also appear in men and children.

Causes of Stretch Marks on the Buttocks

The appearance of stretch marks is most often associated with physical stress. However, sometimes the buttocks also suffer from striae of endocrine origin. The causes of stretch marks may also lie in hereditary predisposition.

Main causes of stretch marks:

  • Stretch marks on the buttocks are possible due to rapid weight loss: against the background of excessive dieting and destabilization of water-salt balance.
  • Stretch marks appear in the final weeks of pregnancy, when the developed fetus creates significant stress not only on the abdominal walls but also on the buttocks.
  • Stretch marks on the buttocks are not excluded in the postpartum period, when after the baby’s birth the buttocks become flaccid.
  • Stretch marks also appear with bodybuilding activities and abuse of steroid medications. Under the influence of steroids, the buttocks actively build up. They increase significantly in volume, causing striae to appear.
  • Striae occur on the buttocks due to hormonal imbalances, when treatment of stretch marks by traditional methods is impossible. If the buttocks suffer from stretch marks for this reason, it becomes necessary to consult an endocrinologist.

Treatment of Stretch Marks on the Buttocks with COLLOST Gel

Until recently, effective treatment of stretch marks was accomplished through the application of such traditional cosmetic procedures as excision, laser or chemical peels, and some others. However, treatment of striae by these methods is associated with pain and a certain degree of health risk for patients.

Optimizing the situation regarding elimination of stretch marks was achieved only after the development and introduction into cosmetic practice of such a unique biomaterial as COLLOST® collagen gel, the basic foundation of which consists of natural collagen.

Collagen therapy is currently the most effective method that allows removing striae on the buttocks without associated problems. COLLOST® gel is injected intradermally into the stretch mark area. Under the influence of the gel, healthy tissue restoration occurs.

COLLOST® collagen gel is characterized by the following main advantages:

Safety of application. COLLOST® gel is non-toxic.

Patient comfort. Eliminating striae on the buttocks using COLLOST® gel occurs without unpleasant sensations.

High effectiveness. Injections of COLLOST® gel lead to positive results in all age groups.

Patient reviews and medical trial data have shown that eliminating stretch marks from the buttocks using COLLOST® gel is much easier than when using other cosmetic methods.
